Sabretooth Actor Visits 7-Eleven

Superhuman senses unique to Marvel Comics villain Sabretooth might be fantasy, but to the actor who plays him, it may be just what drove him into a New York 7-Eleven to buy a Slurpee last week.

Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber plays Sabretooth in the latest X-Men movie franchise, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He was spotted recently purchasing a Slurpee inside Store #26240 in Hicksville, New York, during a break from filming his new movie Salt next door.

According to employees, Shreiber made it in and out of the store before anyone had a chance to realize what was happening. "We would have loved to have him autograph our in-store signage for the movie," Market Manager Rochelle Oppedisano-Ganss said.

The movie, which opens in theaters Friday, May 1, is the fourth in the Marvel Comics movie franchise for the hit series. 7-Eleven is taking advantage of the movie's popularity with its storewide tie-in to the theatrical release. Slurpee cups featuring action-packed graphics of the movie's Sabretooth, Wolverine and Gambit characters are complemented by the Slurpee® flavor Mutant Berry.
