Last October, 7-Eleven president and CEO Joe DePinto went undercover on a mission to examine the inner workings of the company. This February, what he found will be aired on national television.(Pictured: DePinto in disguise as 7-Eleven® store employee “Danny.”)
DePinto is among the participants in a new CBS reality series that follow high-level executives as they slip anonymously into the rank and file of their companies. Undercover Boss will debut following the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 7, 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
Each week Undercover Boss will profile an executive working alongside their employees. Here, they’ll get an up-close, personal look at both the good and bad while discovering the unsung heroes who make their company run.
“The most important thing I learned is how critical it is that we must take care of our stores and their employees …,” DePinto said. “This is our mission, and all of us have an important role.”
Like DePinto, executives from White Castle (Dave Rife, owner/executive board member), Churchill Downs (Williams C. Carstanjen, COO), Hooters (Coby G. Brooks, president and CEO) and Waste Management (Larry O’Donnell, president and COO) will go incognito for Undercover Boss.
The premiere episode will follow O’Donnell. The series moves to its regular Sunday 9 p.m. Eastern Time slot on February 14. A date for the DePinto episode has not been announced.
Sounds really exciting! Looking forward to watching the show. Thanks Joe!
