A Florida 7-Eleven store was the happiest place on Earth for two children this month. On Monday, July 13, the excitement of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and magic of Make-A-Wish® Foundation made its way to 7-Eleven Store #23429 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.(Pictured, from left: Brendan, Kelly Kelly, Ariel and members of Brendan and Ariel's family prepare to eat the seven-foot, 11-inch SummerSlam sub.)
Ariel and Brendan were given VIP treatment, beginning with a limo ride to the store. The two were greeted by Kelly Kelly and given permission to literally eat their way through the store. The kids shared candy, donuts, Slurpee® drinks and ultimately a seven-foot, 11-inch SummerSlam sub with Kelly Kelly. "The experience was fantastic," said Cindy Staton, director of Program Services for Make-A-Wish. "Kelly Kelly made the kids feel at ease, and her presence touched everyone."
Halim said this was the first time he had worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was "thrilled" about the experience. He and J. Hedrick, Florida Division Vice President, expressed their thanks to Make-A-Wish for allowing 7-Eleven to help create "unforgettable memories" for Ariel and Brendan. The WWE has been a 25-year supporter of Make-A-Wish, and is the second most requested wish by kids involved in the foundation.
In August, 7-Eleven partners with WWE for the SummerSlam marketing promotion. Along with the SummerSlam Sub we will have 5 WWE Big Gulp Cups to collect as well as other promotions. We've been getting psyched up for the SummerSlam with the help of WWE, Frito Lay and our Merchandising department to offer you the best smackdown.
